Me as a little girl getting ready for a ballet performance.
commedia paragraph. Commedia. What conventions of commedia dell'arte did you find most challenging in performance?
Topic Sentence: Comedia dell'arte is identifiable due to its employment of Lazzi.
Lazzi can be defined as moments of physical comedy which reveal characters status and their relationships with others on stage. I found creating an authentic comedic moment difficult because it had to be prepared and lacked the spontaneity of improvisation. I struggled with this challenge because when I played Arlecchino I had to slap Pantalone and I found it hard to make it look improvised because we had to make sure we had the safety distance and I had to make sure I didn't actually slap him and cause him any harm. This meant that it didn't look as authentic as it usually would. This is one reason that I found Commedia challenging.
Did your group and one other group answer the MYP unit question "how do we show life issues and conflict in Drama?" in an interesting and creative way?OR Was a good 'story' made from one of the stimulus?* comment on the dramatic elements requiredORdid your and 1 other goup show-focus-concentration-tension-a 'true' dramatic moment-interesting dialogue-good offers & yielding-clear setting-where is it set?-Interesting use of levels and stage space to show setting and relationships between characters-movement-body languages.
Question: What dramatic conventions did you employ and how did those aid the communication of your spine?
